About me

Ahmed Mohamed (Ammbe)

A teacher by profession, I have been in teaching since 2000.

My teaching career started after my O’level, when I joined Lh. Atoll Education Centre as temporary teacher. About 11 months I was teaching in Lh.AEC in year the 2000.

In addition to teaching in the school, I served Fannu Tuition Centre and Fannu Pre-school as a senior supervisor and as a teacher in same year.

After serving my school (Lh. Atoll Education Centre) nearly 1 year, I thought of going for higher studies. So I joined Centre for Higher Secondary Educating (CHSE) in June 2001 for A’ level. June 2001 to June 2003 I studied in CHSE. During A’ level, I severed Classic Tuition Center as a mathematic and economics teacher.

As soon as I finish the A’ level, in August 2003, I joined Ministry of Housing and Urban (former Housing and Urban Development Board) as a computer technician trainee. One of the biggest project I have involve in my office was distributing flats and housing unit from Hulhu’ Male’. As I was a computer technician in my office, But I didn’t go far away from teaching.

Life in Male’ was one of the difficult thing that I faced. So I planned to change my living to to my Island and carry on with my teaching. My that decision makes me to say bye bye to MHUD.

June 2004, I Joined Maldives College of Higher Education. I studied Diploma in Teaching in Faculty of Education. During my college days, thought Accounting to Ameer Ahmed School and Economics to Classic Tuition Centre. Within 2 years I gradated from college and I got job from Ministry of Education.

My job was appointed to my island from Ministry of Education. December 2006, I got sick and I went for treatment to India for a year.

October 2007, with lot of difficulties again I started serving my school (Lh. Atoll Education Centre).

In my capacity as a teacher I started my teaching career with new hope and dignity. I was deeply involve in the process of changing school environment and bringing new ways teaching to my students and trying my best in my field.

I started blogging in June 2009.

Hopefully, I will be able to share my thoughts and experiences in the days ahead through this blog.
